Booked my tickets for both Worcester shows in late September with Voices Unlimited & special guest P.J. Wife Linda is not too keen on long car drives these days so she will be staying home in Belgium. I decided to see the Friday & the Saturday shows. To me that seems a good idea after such a long journey. I've found a nice B.& B. just 5 minutes walk from The Swan Theatre, only 80 quid in total for the two nights.
I've also booked tickets for me & Linda for the "60's Gold" show in Margate on 20th October. Linda's fine with that as the drive from Dover to Margate only takes 20 minutes.
Great to see P.J. getting a lot more shows to do than last year!

Look forward to seeing you in Worcester on the Saturday Ron! That should be a good one as hopefully it won't be as rushed as the gold shows usually are. Good news with some shows at last!  :D

It's nice to see many of PJ's fans are making the journey to Worcester to see him in the Welcome to the 60's show. I am sure it will be well worth it with PJ most likely to have a bit more time than on the "Sixties Gold Tour". Wendy and I will be there for both nights. We look forward meeting up again with you all.
Best wishes
Dave† :)

Great news from Dave. My dear wife Linda is not keen on long car journey's these days so I'll be in Worcester alone BUT it's wonderful to know that I'll see some amazing friends there at one or both shows.I'm at both performances.
That Voices Unlimited Choir have EIGHTY members.... so when they back P.J. it will be amazing. I do hope someone records it as it will be absolutely unique.
My very cheap hotel, just a 5 minute walk from The Swan Theatre, is called the Severn View Hotel.

David (Harwood) will, in a few weeks time, arrange a place & time where all of us P.J. fans can meet up for a chat & a drink & possibly a meal,a few hours before each of the two September Worcester shows. This last happened for many of us back in 2014 in Nottingham. It was a great get together!
It could possibly be the actual Swan Theatre where we meet up or if that place is not open early enough then a local pub will be ideal.
So all guys 'n gals who are interested in this idea keep your eyes on here & also on FB for the info that will be coming our way.
It will be super to meet up with some fellow P.J. fans & friends that I have not seen since 2014.

How I wish I could get there but we no longer have transport and with Michael at a stage of his dementia where I cannot leave him alone I've had to give up getting to see PJ - my only hope would be if he were to come to a local theatre and unfortunately that no longer happens. :'(

Wish I could be there too but our youngest son is getting married in Rhodes and we only get back at the end of that week, then our middle son is 40 that weekend! Iím sure everyone will have a wonderful time and it would be lovely if there could be a DVD of the show.

That is great Pauline we are there on the Saturday and hopefully we can all meet up for a meal and a catch up. Would like to be there on the Friday but I am already going to 3 shows  on the gold tour all involving overnight stays (Gateshead 2 nights) so I would be pushing my luck another night. Not too long now!  :D

For all the great PJ Proby fans that are going to the shows at Worcester and would like a get together before the shows, Ron Tennant and I are arranging a meet up at The Swan Theatre on both nights at opening time (6.30pm) but on the Saturday, for those who would like to join us for a chat, a drink and something to eat† :P, we will be meeting at 'The Postal Order'.
(The Postal Order is a Weatherspoon pub/restaurant in Foregate Street (very close to the White House Hotel) and only about a half mile from the theatre.
The meeting time will be 5.00pm. This should give us time to chat, drink and eat before joining the other fans at the Swan Theatre.
I will need to know who would like to meet at 'The Postal Order' on the saturday so that I can reserve a table but no rush for that.
So the the meet times will be :-
Friday - The Swan Theatre 6.30pm.
Saturday - The Postal Order 5.00pm + The Swan Theatre 6.30pm
Ron will be listing the details also on Facebook.
We hope to see you all there for what should be a great weekend.
Very best wishes
Dave† :)

I'll be at both Worcester shows. Unfortunately my wife Linda will not be with me. But we will both be at the Margate "60's Gold" show on October 20th.
Anyway on the Friday & the Saturday shows in Worcester I look forward to meeting up with some lovely P.J. fans & friends who I have not seen for a while.
Tomorrow on FB I'll will put all of David's info onto the FB P.J. Fan Forum & P.J.'s FB Timeline. So all of the fans on there who are going to one or both of the Worcester shows can see the info about meeting up & give David a yes or a no answer.I guess there will be about 15-20 of us on the early Saturday evening get together at 5.00 pm at the "Postal Order" in Foregate Street, very near to the Swan Theatre. On FB I'll even add a little map so the fans can see where the meeting will be.
Best wishes from Ron T.  :)

This morning (Wednesday) I have put all of David's info onto FB about meeting up before the two Worcester shows. The show on the Saturday will get us meeting up at the "Postal Order" at 5 pm so any P.J. fans intending to be part of that meeting please let David know you'll be there as the number of people on the table he's booking has to be known & told to the place's owner.
  Thanks from Ron ;D

It will be super to meet up with fellow P.J. fans on the Friday evening or the Saturday evening. Great that some of us are going to both of the shows so we can go to both of the "get togethers"
Plenty of replies on here & now we need some on FB & when I see them I'll send the info to David on this Official P.J.Proby Forum. I expect & hope that about 15-20 of us will be at both meetings. When David knows the number of people going to "The Postal Order" on the Saturday he can then book the table for us.So we all have a couple of months to make our minds up.For the Friday " get together" at The Swan no actual booking is needed. Our seats for the show are booked & so an hour before the show starts we make our way to the lovely bar.
   RON 8-)
P.S. Most of us did this in Nottingham in April,2014 & that was amazing!

Any & every P.J. fan that wants to meet up at the Swan Theatre,Worcester on Friday 28th September an hour before the show can do that....no probs.
But all fans meeting up on the Saturday, 29th September at the Postal Order at 5-o-clock (two & a half hours before the show) have to please let David know. This is because he's booking a table for a meal & a drink for all of us & the owners of the Postal Order need to know how many are attending.
So far there are 13 of us. If anyone wants to join us then you are most welcome. Just add your name(s) to the list & please let David know.
  Thanks from Ron  ;D

The meeting time is 5.00pm. This should give us time to chat, drink and eat before making our way to the Swan Theatre for the evening show.
A table has been reserved for us allowing for 14-20 people. So still room for a few more.
The list so far :-
Ron, Pauline, Marilyn and Jim, Billy and Margaret,
Gina and daughter-in-law, John and Liz, Kathy, Diana, Dave and Wendy.

What an amazing weekend! 2 great shows at the Swan theatre. The shows were fantastic. Non stop 60's music and† sketches performed by the brilliant choir "Voices Unlimited" and the special guest P J Proby. There were some great performances but Ria Keen's "You've Lost that Loving Feeling" was terrific.† PJ was in great form, looking great and singing as good as ever. He looked as though he was really enjoying being backed by the choir. PJ joined the show in the 2nd half when he came on singing "Niki Hoeky" then he did a song that he not recorded before "The Three Bells" it was wonderful (it would make a great Christmas record). That was followed by "Somewhere". After a few more songs from the choir PJ returned to close the show with "Hold Me" which by the end had every one on their feet and dancing. So a great show and a great weekend in Worcester. Thank you to the fans that came to the meal and chat on Saturday at "The Postal Order" hope you enjoyed.† :D

Very best wishes
Dave and Wendy
P.S, The good news is that the show was professionally filmed and will be released on a DVD :)

It was really, really brilliant. Everything went so well & meeting the P.J. fans, many of whom I have not seen for quite a few years, was amazing! P.J. is so SPECIAL & his fans are also so SPECIAL.
I'm bursting to get the DVD of the whole show(s). Plus being as "60's Gold" is the last ever tour I do hope & pray that it also gets filmed. If anyone sees Manja ask her if a dvd of the final "60's Gold" tour ever will be possible. Or maybe the shows organisors will consider it?

i, too, await the DVD of this tremendous show.  I thought Ria was electric and couldn't take my eyes off her when she sang.  PJ said he enjoyed it immensely - as did we all.  I also enjoyed chatting to Dave and Wendy; we stayed at the same B&B.

So glad the weekend went well and you all enjoyed yourself and of course PJ performed so well. The "Farewell Tour" starts tonight. I don't know what his choice of songs will be but I hope he performs his own hits.

The "60's Gold" only has two more gigs to go before it's over.I saw it in Margate & P.J. was wonderful. I've been trying & asking to get the whole show professionally filmed & put out on DVD but Manja says this is something that will never happen! Well I say "why not!?".
But I'm so happy that the filming of the September Worcester "Welcome To The 60's" shows could happen & I'm bursting to buy the DVD when it's out. When it's released I'll let everyone know on here & on FB. And if anyone on here knows before me then please pass on the info to us.
   Thanks,

Last night (Wednesday,28th Nov.) the "60's Gold" was in Birmingham. BRUM is my home-city so I'd love to know how things went there at the beautiful Symphony Hall. 2,262 people would have watched & enjoyed that show.
