Hi Cheryl,
Manja Dolan is the lady to ask about things like that!! Just contact her with a message on the forum.
If you contact me personally I can e-mail you some photos of your all time favourite, Sir Cliff, onstage with your new "discovery"  P.J.Proby together in 1995 at The London Palladium.

Hi Ron,

Think I've seen one of those pics of P.J. & Cliff on the net but you indicated plural & I'd love to see all of them & hear details of the performance.
Best Regards,
Tony

Hi Tony,
There are about 4 pics in total. I have an e-mail address for you but can you just let me know what it is again just in case it's an old one. As for details of the performance...I can tell you when it was & why but I don't know what was sung onstage.

Someone mentioned Cliff so another quick story just to be a bore.
Went along to the PALLADIUM AROUND 1968-69
Two tickets please.
Sorry the lady said sitting in her cubicle, they are all sold out, you will have to come another time
Oh what a shame I said-my wife loves Cliff and would really have liked to see him., I was going to give her a surprise
Oh  she said, 'we do have the Royal Box over the stage'
That's great but its not something I could afford.
Dont worry about the price, you can have the box for the same as you were going to pay for the seats.
Well you could have knocked me over backwards. I was over the moon. What a nice surprise for my wife as well. And only 3 quid.
I must have had the BIG BOSS looking after me that day
And what a great evening up in that box Mike Yarwood was also on the bill, and he was marvellous.
All the wife needed was a tiara, and a pair of white gloves for a bit of waving.
But that was one of the Diamond Moments in my life, and what a smashing thing that lady did for us.
Fun times you dont forget.

That must have been a tremendous honour to sit where royalty put there bottoms. I'm amazed the Palladium was so kind to you.
I already know a King James...you can be his number 2!! LOL!

Ron LOL  That knocked me backwards what that lady did, and I could not get home quick enough to tell my wife. Possibly it was being saved for a manager or something, but I can tell you that you are almost on the stage with the acts . The atmosphere may have been intensified up there. Down below some must wonder who you are I suppose.
We lived in the West End at that time, and our previous flat was very close to Buckingham Palace.
From the back window was the hotel across  the road which Kate Middleton came out of when she got married
She was there for all night. Another coincidence was when they drove out of the palace in a dark blue Aston Martin DB5   That was the same model car I used to drive for someone. In fact that was a turquoise blue, and the bloke who owned it had copied the idea from one Prince Charles owned which was given to him by a Saudi Arabian Royal I also believe the queen bought him one for his 21st, and that must have been the one they drove through the gates. due to the colour. They are very unstable to drive and I would  not get one if I had the money.  If you look up The Robertson clan history there is a hand holding a crown That was given to the clan for catching the murderers of King James of Scotland. I think its on Wicki, so your not far out. I DIDNT KNOW THAT LOT AS THEY KICKED THE BUCKET BEFORE I WAS BORN .
Regarding the honour. I am sure the Royals appreciate and are honoured we sat in those seats Grin

An Aston Martin unstable to drive?? ...surely not. The best car my Dad ever owned from 1959-1970 was a 1952 Bristol 401. That was a wonderful vehicle & even today I'm in touch with it, it's present owner lives in Cork,Eire.
I personally drive an Alfa Romeo & a 60's black MGB convertible...both fantastic!

Thanks
