Just across the road from the Social Club is a nice pub/restaurant "The Tree Tops".

As the Four Tops once sang..... "I'll Be There!". We can all have a lovely chat,a nice drink & if the majority are hungry then a snack or a meal.
I do believe this show/gathering is going to be unique & a highlight for us fans in our mammoth P.J. support & a highlight gig for P.J. himself in his long & amazing career.
See ya there guys & gals (unless me bloody ferry sinks in the middle of the Channel!) LOL!  Grin

Yes it would be lovely if everyone met at the pub for something to eat before the show. Perhaps anyone who wants to meet should let Dave know and maybe book a table.  So there is Ron and myself up until now.

Dave says almost opposite the Mapperley Plains Social club is a pub/restaurant called The Tree Tops. I'll be there on the 11th to meet Dave & Wendy,Pauline & also Marilyn & Jim plus anyone else who fancies a "get together". About 5 o clock in the early evening sounds about right.
   See y'all

Can anyone please advise me.
I am going to book up for some tickets at the Westcliff Pavillion in October. I am sure I saw mention of the Searchers
I have seen many shows, and so  it is worth checking.  I just wondered if PJ is only doing one spot in the show, or is he doing the whole show with backing by the Searchers.
Thanks to anyone who can help with this.
Jim

Sorry about that request. I have found all the details on the post 60S GOLD bY DUTCH
The period we all like was an amazing time with music, and I agree with others on here-the best time
but my kids say the 80s were the best time and so on.
It is still wonderful that we can go to shows of 50s 60s themed music and still get a big kick, and I expect the younger lot will do the same with what they like. But everytime I go along to these show the seats are all booked and every one comes in a leather jacket looking like a recycled teenager. Some are still using Brylcream and others are using transparent polish but we never age inside.
What more could we ask for.

Would love to meet up with everyone for a meal before the show so please count me in. I should arrive in Nottingham about mid-afternoon on the 10th and am staying at the Hilton.
